Long-term storage:
Special precautions need to be taken if the earth auger is not to be used in more than
a month.
1.
Add fuel stabiliser according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2.
Allow the motor to run for 10 - 15 minutes to be certain that the stabiliser is reaching
the carburettor.
3.
Remove any remaining fuel from the tank and pour it into an approved container.
4.
Remove the drill from the earth auger (the motor) and apply a thin layer of oil to the
shaft extender.
5.
Store the drill and the earth auger in a vertical position.
6.
Remove all deposits from the drill and the earth auger (motor).
Caution
Never suck petrol by mouth when emptying the fuel tank.
Never store the earth auger with fuel in the tank in a closed space or building.
Avoid accidental starts by turning off the motor, allow it to cool down and remove the
spark plug lead from the spark plug before carrying out any servicing and
maintenance to the equipment.
Servicing and maintenance must only be carried out by adults.
