It is not necessary to force the saw into the cut. Use only light pressure while the
machine is running at full throttle.
If the saw chain becomes trapped in the cut, you must not attempt to pull it out with
force, but use a wedge or lever to free it.
FELLING A TREE:
1. Determine the direction of fall by taking into consideration the wind, tilt of the tree,
position of heavy branches, ease of completing the job after felling, and other factors.
2. While you clear the area around the tree, you must ensure a good foothold and
withdrawal route.
3. Make a cut approx. 1/3 of the trunk diameter in the side the trunk will fall.
4. Make a felling cut from the opposite side and slightly higher than the bottom of the
first cut.
