General
Read these instructions carefully before assembling and using the threading machine for the first
time.
Before using the machine, the user must always check that the application complies with applicable
safety regulations.
WARNING!
Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow the following instructions may result
in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Safety instructions
Safety in the workspace
•
Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Clutter and poor lighting can lead to accidents. Do not
use the machine in explosive atmospheres, e.g. near flammable liquids, gases or dust. Tools
create sparks that can ignite dust or vapours.
•
Keep unauthorised persons and children away when using the machine. Distractions can
cause the operator to lose focus.
•
Keep floors dry and free from slippery materials such as oil. Slippery floors can lead to
accidents.
•
Shield or barricade the area when the workpiece extends beyond the machine so that no
one risks falling over the workpiece.
Electricity safety:
•
Grounded tools must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in
accordance with all codes and ordinances. Never remove the earth connection or modify
the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs. Contact a qualified electrician if there is any
doubt as to whether the socket outlet is properly earthed.
•
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces. There is an increased risk of electric shock.
•
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. If water enters the
the tool, the risk of electric shock increases.
•
Never use the cord to carry the tool or to unplug the tool from an electrical outlet. Keep the
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace damaged cords immediately.
Damaged cords increase the risk of electric shock.
•
Use only three-wire extension cords which have three-prong grounding plugs and three-
pole receptacles which accept the tool’s plug. Use of other extension cords will not ground
the tool and increase the risk of electrical shock.
•
Keep all electrical connections dry and off the ground. Do not touch plugs or tools with wet
hands as this increases the risk of electric shock.
