MAINTENANCE

5.  REPLACING A BLADE cont.

6.  CLEANING

6.   Slide the retractable blade guard into the upper blade guard.

Remove the blade and the inside flange.

7.   Clean any dust and

debris from the spindle,

the inner flange and

the other components.

Re-assemble the blade

components in the

reverse order, ie. Inner

flange, replacement

blade, outer flange,

flange washer and then

the blade bolt.

Note.

When mounting the blade, make sure that the direction of

rotation arrow printed on the blade matches the direction of rotation

arrow embossed on the upper blade guard.

8.   Lower and hold the spindle lock

lever and tighten the blade bolt in a

clockwise direction.

9.   Rotate the new disc by hand,

ensuring that it doesn’t wobble

and rotates fully.

10.  Replace the front blade bolt

cover and fix it in place with

the 2 hex bolts.

Cleaning

Remove dust and dirt regularly from the machine. Cleaning is best

carried out with a fine brush or a cloth.

Remove any metal and debris that may have accumulated around the

upper blade guard and retractable blade guard.
Clean debris from saw recess in bass.
Clean chips from spark shield.
Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts.
Keep the tool’s air vents unclogged and free of dust and dirt. Blow out

the motor regularly with compressed air.

General inspection

Before use, check for cracked or broken parts, damaged electrical

wiring and any other condition that may effect safe operation. Do not

use damaged equipment.

Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight. They may vibrate

loose over time.

Carbon brushes

When the carbon brush wears out,

the cold cut saw will spark and/or

stop. Discontinue use as soon as

this happens. It should be replaced

prior to recommencing use of the

cold cut saw. Carbon brushes

are a wearing component of the

saw therefore not covered under

warranty. Continuing to use the

cold cut saw when carbon brushes need to be replaced may cause

permanent damage to the saw. Carbon brushes will wear out after

many uses. When the carbon brush needs to be replaced, take the

saw to an electrician or a power tool repairer for a quick and low cost

replacement.

Note:

Ozito Industries will not be responsible for any damage or

injuries caused by the repair of the saw by an unauthorised person or

by mishandling of the saw.
