ENSURE THAT ALL OPERATING PARTS ARE 

CLEAN AND UNDAMAGED BEFORE USE. SCRATCHED OF 

BROKEN PARTS SHOULD BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY.

Testing The Helmet

Replacing The Battery 

1   Turn the Shade Number 

Adjustor and set it anywhere 

between 9 and 13. 

1   A red light will appear when the charge in the button cell battery gets 

too low.

2   Place a flat head screwdriver (not supplied) into the slot in the 

battery cap and turn it anti-clockwise to unlock it. Remove the cap.

3  Replace the used battery with a new CR2032 battery.

4  Replace the cap. Turn the cap clockwise to lock it in place.

2   Press the Auto Darkening Test 

Button. The viewing window 

should darken briefly before 

returning to normal.

Note:

 

 

Light from welding should be sufficient to charge the solar-

assisted battery if the helmet is used regularly. If the helmet 

is left in storage for long periods, it will need to be recharged 

before use.

Charging The Helmet

1   To charge the helmet place it sunlight for 1 hour with the solar panel 

directed towards the light.

Note:  

Remove the Protective Film from the Filter and charge the helmet 

before use.
