cautions must be observed to avoid injuries and 

damage. Please read the complete operating 

instructions and safety regulations with due care. 

Keep this manual in a safe place, so that the in-

formation is available at all times. If you give the 

equipment to any other person, hand over these 

operating instructions and safety regulations as 

well. We cannot accept any liability for damage 

or accidents which arise due to a failure to follow 

these instructions and the safety instructions.

Safety information

1.1 General safety regulations for this elec-

trical tool

• 

The equipment is never allowed to be used 

by children, persons with reduced physical, 

sensory or mental capacities or insufficient 

experience and knowledge, or persons who 

are not familiar with the instructions.

• 

Children should be supervised so that they 

do not play with the equipment. Children are 

not allowed to carry out the cleaning or main-

tenance.

1.2 Safety information for scari

• 

Check the equipment for damage each time 

before use. The equipment must never be 

used if damaged and must be placed out of 

service until completion of repairs by a speci-

alist/our customer service.

• 

If the equipment vibrates excessively during 

operation, switch it off immediately and pull 

the safety plug. Tilt the equipment and ex-

amine the scarifier roller for anything which 

may have caused imbalance and remove it 

if necessary – be sure to wear gloves for this 

work to protect yourself against cuts. If this is 

not the cause – have the equipment repaired 

by our customer service.

• 

Or examine the equipment for damage and 

carry out any necessary repairs to damaged 

parts. And examine the equipment for loose 

parts and tighten them well.

• 

Both hands must be on the handle when you 

start the equipment, and the equipment must 

be stood on the ground and must not be tilted.

• 

Safety components must be checked each 

time before use and must be replaced by our 

customer service if damaged.

Warnings

Danger! Do not touch the teeth before the 

equipment is disconnected from the power 

supply and the teeth have reached a comple-

te standstill.

Danger! Always disconnect from the power 

supply (e.g. pull out the safety plug)

• 

whenever you leave the equipment unat-

tended;

before unblocking a blocked tool;

• 

before checking, cleaning or carrying out 

any other work on the equipment;

if a foreign body has been struck; whe-

1.3 Starting up safely for scari

1.3.1 Instruction

a)  Read the instructions carefully. Familiarize 

yourself with the operator controls and proper 

use of the equipment.

b)  Never allow children or anyone who is not fa-

miliar with these instructions to use the equip-

ment. Local regulations may set minimum age 

requirements for the user.

c)  It should be noted that the user of the equip-

ment is personally responsible for accidents 

or hazards involving other persons or their 

property.

1.3.2 Preparation

a)  Always wear ear protection and protective 

goggles when using the equipment, as long 

as the equipment is in operation.

b)  Always wear sturdy, non-slip footwear and 

long trousers when using the equipment. 

Never use the equipment barefoot or in san-

dals. Avoid wearing loosely

 tting clothes or 

clothing with hanging belts or ties.

c)  Carefully check the ground on which the 

equipment will be used and remove all ob-

jects that could be caught up by the equip-

ment and violently

d)  Only use the equipment in the recommended
