TV installation as shown requires the mantel be constructed entirely of non-combustible material
as it is below the allowable height for a combustle mantel.
2. These are good faith recommended clearances only and not a guarantee of compliance with all TV
manufacturers’ maximum allowable operating temperatures.
3. Since every home has unique air flow characteristics and maximum allowable operating temperatures
can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and from model to model, actual TV temperatures should be
validated at the time of each installation. TVs should not be used in situations where the actual TV
temperature exceeds the manufacturers’ maximum allowable operating temperatures identified in the
TV’s technical specifications. Contact the TV’s manufacturer directly if you cannot locate this information
or have questions regarding the information.
4. Mantel height and depth must conform to mantel requirements specified in the fireplace installation
manual.
