IMPORTANT: Please note down the
serial number located below the con-
trol panel on the last page of the
manual. For any further questions
about the grill or warranty claims the
serial number has to be indicated.
Before starting up the unit please read, understand
and observe all following instructions!
The BBQ is for outdoor use only. Keep it at a safety
distance of minimum 1 m from flammable objects.
This grill is designed for 5 kg and 10 kg gas bott-
les. The bottles can be placed in the bottle holder
bowl at the bottom shelf and fixed with the bottle
strap. Please make sure that no screwed parts are
leaking. Make a Leak Test before starting up the
grill and after every change of gas bottle. Gas
bottles should not be exposed to temperatures
higher than 50°C in closed areas or in basements.
Follow the safety instructions mentioned on the
gas bottle.
Burn-off
Before cooking on your barbecue for the first
time, burn-off any residual oils or foreign matters
by igniting the burners.
ENSURE THE HOOD IS OPEN, and operate at
«HIGH» setting for approximately 5 minutes.
You may then turn the burner controls to «OFF»
or proceed to commence cooking at the «LOW»
setting.
Every person using this BBQ must understand and
follow the ignition instructions exactly. Do not let
children operate the grill. The user is responsible
for the correct assembly, handling and maintenan-
ce of the grill. Disregarding can cause accidents.
Keep flammable liquids, materials and spare gas
bottles away from the BBQ. Do not store the grill
or a spare gas bottle indoors where there is no
aeration.
For your safety
Leak Test
WARNING: Do not use or permit sources of igniti-
on in the area while doing the leak test - this
includes smoking! Never test for gas leaks with a
lighted match or open flame! Always check for
leaks outdoors.
1. Check that the control knob is turned to the
position «OFF».
2. Open the gas supply on the gas tank by
turning the knob counter clockwise.
3. Check all gas connections by brushing on a
50/50 solution of liquid soap and water onto all
connections.
4. Look for bubbles or blowing in the soap
solution which indicates that a leak is present.
IMPORTANT! The barbecue must not be used
until leak(s) is corrected. Close the gas bottle.
5. The leak(s) must be stopped by tightening the
joints, if possible, or by replacing the faulty
parts recommended by the barbecue distributor.
6. Repeat items 1 to 2.
7. Contact a registered gas engineer if leaks persist.
NOTE: Conduct a leak test each time the gas sup-
ply is connected or replaced and every year when
using your barbecue for the first time in the bar-
becue season.
