2) Position the user in the seat (see above).
3) Put the chest-shoulder bracket on the user's shoulders (see fig. 2). The U shape of the chest-shoulder bracket
lies on the sternum (see title image).
4) Make sure the chest-shoulder bracket does not squeeze the user's torso. The ends/arms of the chest-shoulder
bracket must not be between the upper body and the back support.

If necessary:
Engage the upper body harness straps in the shoulder region (see fig. 3, item 1). Cross the
upper body harness straps behind the upper body (see fig. 3, item 2). Make sure the upper body harness
straps lie flat against the body without twisting.
6)
If necessary:
Insert the small closure strap (see fig. 4, item 1) on the front of the chest-shoulder bracket into
the fastener (see fig. 4, item 2).
7) Pass the upper body harness straps around the body to the front and insert them into the strap closures (see
fig. 4, item 3).
8)
If necessary:
Readjust the length of the upper body harness straps using the strap fasteners.
Attaching and positioning the joystick
1) Turn off the control device.
2)
If necessary:
Slide the pre-adjusted support bracket with the joystick into the holder (see fig. 6, item 1).
3)
If necessary:
Readjust the position in space (height, depth, angle) to the user's needs with the Allen screws
/grub screw on the retaining bracket (see fig. 7, item 2).
4) Verify correct position of the joystick. The user must be able to carry out all required control operations using
the joystick.
Taking the joystick off the chest-shoulder bracket
The chest-shoulder bracket can remain on the user during the day. Removing the joystick with the retaining bracket
from the chest-shoulder bracket is sufficient.
1) Turn off the control device.
2) Push the retaining bracket with the joystick out of the holder on the chest-shoulder bracket (see fig. 6, item 1).
3) Store the joystick in a safe position.
Taking the chest-shoulder bracket off the user
1) Turn off the control device.
2) Open the strap closures on the front of the chest-shoulder bracket (see fig. 1, item 4).
3) Pull the upper body harness straps out of the strap closures and let them hang loose (see fig. 4, item 3).
4) Lift the chest-shoulder bracket upwards off the user's shoulders.
5) Store the chest-shoulder bracket in a safe position.
5.2 Care
5.2.1 Cleaning
•
Use warm soapy water for cleaning. Add some disinfectant if needed. Carefully dab the product with a damp
cloth or sponge and wipe with a dry, clean cloth.
•
Do not use any aggressive cleaners, solvents or hard brushes etc.
•
Allow the product to fully air dry before use.
•
Do not expose the product to direct heat (e.g. sunshine, stove or radiator heat, hair dryer).
5.2.2 Disinfection
•
Thoroughly clean the product before disinfecting.
•
Wipe all parts of the product with a disinfectant.
•
Only use colourless water-based disinfectants. Observe the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer.
