1 Foreword
English
This document applies to the custom fabrication SBK 104447.000.
2 Product description
The U-shaped chest-shoulder bracket (see fig. 1, item 1) is used to mount mo-Vis joysticks for special control func
tions. The joystick is attached to a retaining bracket (see fig. 1, item 2).
To use the chest-shoulder bracket, it is placed onto the user's shoulders and fastened on the torso with two upper
body harnesses (see fig. 1, item 3). The upper body harnesses are fastened with strap fasteners in front of the
torso (see fig. 1, item 4).
The joystick with the retaining bracket can be removed from the chest-shoulder bracket (see fig. 1, item 5),
for example, so the user can rest or eat without wearing the joystick directly on the body. There is no need for the
user to take off the chest-shoulder bracket.
Before use, the ends of the chest-shoulder bracket are shaped to the user's chest-shoulder region (see fig. 1,
item 6) and the strap lengths are adjusted by the qualified personnel.

4 Preparing the product for use
4.1 Notes on positioning:
Prior to assembly and adjustment of the chest-shoulder bracket, the user must be positioned correctly in the seat:
•
Place the user in an upright, 90° seated position (if physiologically possible).
•
Ensure that the back is up against the back support pad (if physiologically possible).
•
The chest-shoulder bracket is intended to be located in front of the torso area (sternum). Ensure that the U-

Possible application errors
•
The chest-shoulder bracket is too close to the throat, endangering the user.
•
The chest-shoulder bracket makes contact above the user's sternum (too high) or in the area of the soft tissue
of the abdomen (too low).
