anti-tipperendsmustnotexceed5cm.Thisbasicsettingmayonlybemadebyqualifiedpersonnel.
CAUTIOn
Risk of tipping.
Neverdriveoverobstacles(stepsandkerbs)ataslantangle.Alwaysapproachob-
staclesstraightly(atanangleof90°).
Theswinginganti-tipperallowsthewheelchairusertoovercomethresholdsanddroppedkerbs
withoutthehelpofanattendant.Itpreventsthewheelchairfromtippingandafterovercoming
theobstacleswingsbacktotherear.
Ifnecessary,adjustthelengthoftheswinginganti-tipperbylooseningthemarkedscrewcon-
nections(Fig.18,itemsA/B).Tochangetheheightsettingoftheanti-tipper,loosenthescrew
connection(Fig.18,itemB)anduseanotherborehole.

Tonegotiatethresholdsanddroppedkerbs,thearmsoftheanti-tippershouldhangfreelyto-
wardstheground(Fig.18).
Whenascendinganobstacle,thearmsoftheanti-tipperhitthegroundandpreventthewheel-
chairfromtippingovertotherear(Fig.19).
Whendescendinganobstacle,thefrontarmoftheanti-tippermustprotrudebeyondtheedge
oftheobstacletoenabletheanti-tippertoswingoutoftheway.
