CAUTION
Risks due to high temperatures.
When an orthosis gets into contact
with great heat for a longer time (e.g. longer exposure to cigarette em-
bers), the orthosis‘ material can melt and cause burns on the patient‘s
skin. Keep away from all sources of ignition, especially lit cigarettes.
NOTICE
Risk of damage due to incorrect environmental conditions.
This
product is not flame-resistant. Keep the product away from flames or
other heat sources.
The product should not come into contact with grease or acidic agents,
unguents and lotions, as this can reduce the useful life – especially of pads.
4 How to apply
The bars are set inidividually by trained personnel.
1) Adjusting the Joints using the Click 2 Go System (Abb. 3)
In order to exchange the stops; Insert the desired extension and flexion stops.
When inserting the stops they will engange with slight resistance.
Available (functional angle) extension stops:
0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°.
Available (functional angle) flexion stops:
0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, 90°.
Close the Velcro® tape around the joint.
INFORMATION
Both medial and lateral joints must be fitted with the same degree stops!
2) First of all close that part of the support which is below the kneecap and
then the upper part. Make use of the elasticity of the material and pull
together the edges of the support from both directions.
3) Tighten the band at the back on the calf and thigh. The back band may
well be left closed after initial adjustment, even when washing.
4) Tighten the band at the front on the calf and thigh.
