50R20 Dorso Osteo Care torso orthosis.

2.2 Design
The back plate is made of coated aluminium and can be easily adjusted individually. The back
pad made of SpaceTex® spacer fabric attached with hook-and-loop is breathable, skin friendly
and washable. The shoulder belt connected to the back plate with the numbered strap guide
loops (1 to 4) consists of a fleece strap with inserts of semi-elastic SpaceTex® spacer fabric in the
axillary area. The shoulder belt can be closed comfortably and safely with a plastic buckle in the
front. The abdominal pad made of SpaceTex® spacer fabric is connected to the back plate via the
waist strap with the strap guide loops (5 to 8).
3 Intended use
3.1 Indications for use
The orthosis is intended
exclusively
for orthotic fittings of the back and
exclusively
for contact
with intact skin.
The orthosis must be used in accordance with the indications.
3.2 Indications
•
Osteoporosis of the thoracic and/or lumbar spine
•
Follow-up treatment of osteoporotic vertebral body fractures in the area of the thoracic and/or
lumbar spine
•
Kyphosis (without fused vertebrae)
•
Degenerative changes in the area of the thoracic and/or lumbar spine
Indications must be determined by the physician.
3.3 Contraindications
3.3.1 Absolute Contraindications
Not known.
3.3.2 Relative Contraindications
The following indications require consultation with a physician: skin diseases/injuries, inflamma
tion, raised scars with swelling, reddening, and warming in the area where the product is fitted,
lymphatic congestion – including unclear soft tissue swelling distal to the device, and dysaes
thesia in the torso or arms.
