3) Align the centre of the orthotic joints according to the compromise pivot point according to
Nietert (see fig. 3).
Adjusting the strap length
>
The orthosis has been taken off.
1) Remove the pad.
2) Adjust the strap length on the hook-and-loop strap.
3) Attach the pad.
Adjusting the knee width
The knee width of the orthosis can be adjusted with the included spacer rings and the condyle
pads.
1) Remove the condyle pads and the pad retainers (see fig. 4).
2) Attach the required number of spacer rings to the orthotic joint (see fig. 6).
3) Attach the pad retainers.
4) Attach the condyle pads to the pad retainers.
Adjusting the top lower leg closure
1) Fasten closure 1 of the top lower leg closure (see fig. 2, item 7).
INFORMATION: The position of the calf pad is specified by the mounting hole in the
orthosis frame.

Optional:
Move the top lower leg closure down by one hole.
3) Pre-tension the calf pad using the dial.
NOTICE! To avoid a risk of breakage, do not over-tighten the dial.
4) Check the pre-tension with the patient standing up and correct as needed.
5) Mark the setting for the patient with a pen on the scale of the fastening strap.
Repositioning the top lower leg closure
1) Remove the screw connections of the closure holder and the closure on both sides.
2) Reposition the closure holder and then insert the screws and tighten them.
5.3 Application
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application
Risk of local pressure and constriction of blood vessels and nerves due to improper or excess
ively tight application

Ensure that the product is applied properly and fits correctly.

Prerequisite:
All straps have been opened, and the orthosis has been applied.
1) Fasten top lower leg closure 1 (see fig. 3).
2) Fasten closures 2, 3 and 4 one after the other.
3) Turn dial 5 of the calf pad until the pad fits firmly and comfortably.
INFORMATION: Note the position of the fastening strap that was determined by the
qualified personnel during the initial fitting and marked on the scale.
4) Fasten closure 6.
5) Tighten the closures so the orthosis fits firmly and comfortably.
6) After
15 min
of active movement, retighten the closures in the specified sequence.
5.4 Removal
1) Loosen the pre-tension of the calf pad with dial 5.
2) Remove quick-release closure 1 from the pad button.
3) Open closures 2, 3 and 4.
4) Remove the orthosis from the leg.
