Signs of changes in or loss of functionality during use
Noticeable functional changes may include poor response, incomplete
extension, diminished swing phase control or stance phase stability, abnor­
mal noises, etc.

5 Preparation for Use

Incorrect alignment, assembly or adjustment
Injuries due to incorrectly installed or adjusted as well as damaged pros­
thesis components
► Observe the alignment, assembly and adjustment instructions.
CAUTION
Use of talcum
Falling, damage to the prosthetic knee joint due to lack of lubrication

Do not use talcum on the prosthetic knee joint or other prosthesis com­
ponents.

Inform the patient.
The three-dimensional alignment of the prosthesis socket and the modular
components affects the function of the prosthesis. The patient can only
benefit from the special characteristics of the prosthetic knee joint when cor­
rectly aligned.
