The parents are instructed in the handling of the orthosis by the qualified personnel dur
ing the initial fitting.
To ensure that the child stands safely, shoes with soles that have good traction must be chosen
and the outer rim has to be elevated by
3 mm
.
1) Open the hook-and-loop closures (see fig. 6).
2) Apply the Hip Abduction Orthosis to the thigh from the front, noting the correct alignment.
3) Close the hook-and-loop closures.
6.3 Removal
1) Open the hook-and-loop closures.
2) Take the Hip Abduction Orthosis off the thigh.
7 Cleaning

Use of improper cleaning agents
Damage to the product due to use of improper cleaning agents

Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.

Allowable cleaning agent:
pH neutral soap (e.g. 453H10 Derma Clean)
The product is waterproof and does not have to be removed to care for the child.
1) Clean the product with clear fresh water.
2) Rinse the product thoroughly.
3) Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
4) Allow to air dry in order to remove residual moisture. Do not expose to direct heat sources
(e.g. sunlight, stove or radiator).

Dispose of the product in accordance with national regulations.
