5 Handling
INFORMATION

The daily duration of use and period of application are generally determined by the physi
cian.
►
The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out by qualified personnel.
►
Instruct the patient in the handling and care of the product.
►
Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional changes are noted (e.g.
worsening of the complaint).

5.2 Adaptation
1) Place the longitudinal arch piece (12) in the heel container (13).
INFORMATION: To determine the placement, affix the longitudinal arch piece to a
piece of paper. Position the patient on the longitudinal arch piece, align it with the
navicular bone (os naviculare) and mark the contour of the foot using a pencil (see
fig. 2). Then cut out the contour (see fig. 3) and place it in the heel container (see
fig. 4) so the end of the heel meets the mark in the heel container.
2) Mark the position of the longitudinal arch piece in the heel container (see fig. 5).
3) Fix the longitudinal arch piece along the mark inside the heel container.
