• Connect the motor, battery and electrode connections as illustrated (depending on the switch-
ing mode, also connect the switch / buzzer).
• Lay the motor cable in loops to avoid damaging the cable and carefully put it through the groove
(Fig. 3).
• Put on the protective cover (see Fig. 1, item 1). Slide the red protective plug onto the vacant
pins (Fig. 1, item 2).
• Push the Electric Wrist Rotator into the socket until it engages in the lamination ring.
• Secure the Electric Wrist Rotator with the 11S4 Lock Ring.
8HandlingtheBatteries
Only fully charged batteries should be used to operate the MyoRotronic. An intelligent "battery
manager" alerts the patient to low voltage conditions: the Electric Wrist Rotator becomes slower
and slower. At the same time the battery is protected against harmful total discharge.
For more information regarding the batteries please consult the Operating Manual enclosed with
the batteries.
Attention:
As soon as the MyoRotronic recognizes a fully charged 757B20 / 757B21 EnergyPack
or 757B25=* / 757B35=* MyoEnergy Integral, it automatically switches to Li-Ion bat-
tery technology. Once this has happened, only this technology should be used to oper-
ate the system. If a 757B15 Ottobock X-ChangePack is employed after the control has
switched to Li-Ion battery technology, the battery can not be used to its full capacity.
The 757T13 Ottobock MyoSelect can be used, however, to reset the product for use
with X-ChangePack.
For operational security and reliability, use only 757B20, 757B21, 757B25=*,
757B35=* or 757B15 Ottobock Batteries.
Upon delivery, the default setting is optimized for NiMH Batteries.
