Selecting and Fitting Receiver Units
Five Receiver lengths are available for the Standard
Receivers. no. 1 is the shortest and no. 5 is the longest.
The lengths most commonly used are size 2 and 3.
At the canal portion of the Receiver, the end is red or blue
indicating the speaker side, i.e. red for right ear and blue
for left ear.

The Receiver length is marked as shown 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.

Measuring the ear for correct Receiver length
When fitting a Standard Receiver the correct measure-
ment corresponds to the top of the ear canal as shown
using the Oticon measuring tool. The measurement is
the same for all domes and custom earpieces.
The Receiver should sit comfortably and be hidden in the
ear canal and the wire should lie flush with the head.
The ear grip can be used for better Receiver retention.
The ear grip is designed to work for both the right and left
ear. Insert the ear grip in the slot in the Receiver.
