Remote Management
is a feature that is available through the SNMP. You have the option of configuring the alarm to be ON and in alert mode
while the chassis is powered by clicking the
Turn On Audible Alarming Feature
. By default, this alarm should already be activated. If any
problems occur, an alarm from the chassis will emit a sound to alert you. Ensure the conditions of the internal fans, power supplies, or
electrical components on the PCIe backplane are functional. To verify what is causing the chassis to respond improperly, you can turn off the
alarm
by pressing
Silence Audible Alarm
.
You can also remote turn ON and Off the expansion using this feature. You can only do this if you are not connected and linked to a host
computer. The “Turn On / Off Chassis” is enabled when host computer and chassis are not linked. The “ Turn Off Chassis” or “ Turn On Chassis”
is greyed out if EB3450 is linked to a live host computer.
