WIFI CONFIGURATION 

 

The Wi-Fi on the Talon is an access point for configuration only. It will not support WiFi streaming. To access your 
Talon, select the Access Point whose SSID is the same as the Serial Number. Once selected, use the password 

0spr3yT@l0n

” to connect to the access point. In your browser, connect to the IP 10.

1.1.1 to reach the Web UI 

and determine the IP address of your Talon. You can continue to use the access point to configure your encoders, 
or you can use the IP address to connect with a browser from a PC. For complete instructions see the Talon Quick 
Start Guide. 

ACCESS POINT 

The Talon Wi-Fi access point 

is enabled by default. To turn off the Access Point, select “Disabled”

 

SSID 

The SSID is “Talon

-

Pro” followed by the serial number of the Talon. You can distinguish multiple encoders in the 

same vicinity by the serial number. 

AUTHENTICATION  

Authentication is turned on by default. If it is disabled anyone who tries to connect can do so without a password. 
It is recommended that authentication always be enabled. 

PASSWORD 

The default password for WiFi 

is 

0spr3yT@l0n

 This is the same for every Talon.  

NOTE: FOR SECURITY, YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE PASSWORD AFTER FIRST SETUP.
