Applications

You can start to use the different applications as soon as you have switched on the PDA. Here are help files
for the individual applications, so that you can quickly find your way around your PDA.
Most of the actions you need to take are self-explanatory, and your PDA takes you through them step by step.

Home Launcher

You can access all the applications from the HOME LAUNCHER menu. You can get to the HOME menu
at any time simply by tapping MENU at the top of the function keys.

The HOME LAUNCHER menu is divided into three parts - MAIN, TOOLS and SYSTEM - which are
displayed at the top of the screen. Tap on the page that you want and the screen will display the applica-
tions available. If there are more than 6 applications in a particular menu, the screen will show that there
is another page [   ]. Tap the page number at the bottom right of the screen to toggle between the pages.

MAIN

 ] CONTACT

CONTACT is an address book in which you can store details such as names, addresses, telephone nos. and
e-mail addresses.

Tap on CONTACT to enter the application. The screen displays your list of contacts by NAME in
alphabetical order. This is the main body where all the records are stored. HISTORY gives you a quick
review of the last 30 records that you have viewed.

To enter a new contact, tap NEW. Input the details using one of the methods described under Inputting
data. There are 10 fields for you to input your contact’s name, tel. no., mobile no., pager no., fax no., e-mail
address, company name, address, zip code as well as a note. Press ENTER to confirm each entry. After
pressing ENTER or SAVE to save the record, the PDA will ask you whether you want to save it as
SECRET. Tap YES or NO and the record will then be saved.

To conduct a KEYWORD SEARCH of all the contact records, tap SEARCH. Input the keyword and the
PDA will find records containing that word.

To read or edit a record, tap on the name in the contact list. The screen displays the Contact View, that is
the details of the record. Tap EDIT and use the inputting method you want to edit the record appropriately.
Or press DEL to delete the record. The PDA will ask you to confirm the deletion.
Press EXIT at any time to return to the previous screen or finally to exit the application.

 ] SCHEDULE

Featuring a month-by-month calendar, this application allows you to keep a record of your daily schedule.

You can scroll between months by tapping the month and then using the arrow keys in the top line. Tap on
the year and then use the arrow keys to scroll through years (from 1900 to 2070).

To enter a new appointment/event, tap on the date you want schedule. The PDA will display the date at the
top of the screen and the note “NO RECORD! PRESS “NEW” FOR NEW RECORD”. Tap the NEW
function key in order to input a new record. The screen will then display the date, a start time, an end time,
SUBJECT and an alarm bell. Tap START TIME and then set the time you require by scrolling through the
hours and minutes displayed, remembering also to tap on AM or PM. Tap ENTER to confirm. Repeat the
procedure to set the END TIME, then tap ENTER. To input the content of the record, tap SUBJECT and
then input the data as described above. Tap ENTER to confirm what you have written. You can then switch
