You know that you have reached the
optimal tightness setting when you tug on
the belt guides (Photo M) and the base
upright does not move more than 2.5 cm
(1 in) in any direction.

RE-CHECK

the following to make sure that

the car seat base installation is secure:

a. CHECK

that the car seat base installation

is not loose. It should not move by more
than 2.5 cm (1 in) in any direction.

b. CHECK

that the car seat base is level by

making sure that window in the level
indicator is green (Photo N).

If the car seat base is loose or if the level
indicator window shows red (Photo O),
remove and re-install the car seat base
beginning at Step 2.
