If you cannot access the Internet after making a Direct or Modem connection, you
will have to reconfigure certain networking parameters in Windows. Please see

1. Add and configure a Direct Connection for Windows 2000:
A) Create a New Windows
2000 Direct Connection:
a) Launch 5700i PC
Remote.
b) Choose “Connect > New
5700i”
c) Give your 5700i a name
(e.g., “KABC”) by en-
tering this name in the
“5700i Alias” field.
d) If you wish to have
5700i PC Remote
remember the
password for this
Optimod, enter the
pass-word in the
“Password“ field.
e) Select “Serial Connec-
tion.”
f) Click “Add.”
g) Select “Connect Directly
to another computer.”
h) Click “Next.”
