•
Analog Out Delay In
: Activates the diversity delay for the analog output
if it is configured to emit the output of the analog FM processing chain (see
page 3-67).
•
Digital Out 1 Delay In
: Activates the diversity delay for Digital Output #1
(Analog, Digital #1, Digital #2, Composite) if it is configured to emit the
output of the analog FM processing chain (see page 3-67). There is also a

choice available. It is not possible to choose different
diversity delay values for the various outputs, but it is possible to turn the
delay off and on independently for each output.
•
Analog Out Delay Out:
Bypasses the diversity delay for a specified output
(Analog, Digital #1, Digital #2, Composite) emitting the output of the ana-
log FM processing chain (see page 3-67).

FM Polarity Positive
: Makes positive the output polarity of the 5700i’s FM
analog channel processing. In HD Radio installations, this command is use-
ful when switching the 5700i between transmitters if the transmitters’ ex-
citers produce opposite FM modulation polarities when driven by identical
digital audio input signals. This setting affects any output emitting the ana-
log FM processed signal, including the composite output.
•
FM Polarity Negative
: (see above)
•
No Function
: remote input is disabled.

End remote control interface programming.
When you are finished programming the remote control interface, press the Es-
cape button to return to higher menu levels.
Networking and Remote Control
[Skip this step if you do not wish to connect to your 5700i remotely, either for down-
loading software upgrades or for PC Remote Control.]
The 5700i has a built-in Ethernet connector that can be used with 10 Mbps or 100
Mbps ports using the TCP/IP protocol. You can also connect a PC to the 5700i
through the 5700i’s RS-232 serial port, either by modem or directly through a null
modem cable.
