1.4 Safety of persons
• This device is intended for use
by persons without electr ical
qualifications (laymen) according to
the manufacturer‘s instructions.
• Operators of the device include
activities such as switching the device
on and off, user manipulation and
setting of operating parameters, visual
or auditory control of the device and
user cleaning and maintenance.
• This device may be used by children
of 8 years of age and older, and
persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or lack of
experience and knowledge only if they
are under the supervision or direction
of a responsible person, have been
instructed to use the device in a safe
manner, and understand any hazards.
• Cleaning and user maintenance can
only be carried out by children aged 8
years and older under the supervision
of a responsible person.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Keep the device out of reach of
children during use and operation.
Keep in mind that the device can also
be pulled down for a free power cord.
• Always exercise caution when
operating the electrical device. Do not
use the device if you are excessively
tired, under the influence of medicines
or narcotic drugs that reduce attention
and concentration. Caution when
operating may result in serious injury.
1.5 Cleaning, maintenance and
repair
• Only carry out normal cleaning
and maintenance of the device in
the recommended manner. Do not
use solvents or abrasive cleaning
items for cleaning. Pollution and
visible spots from touching fingers or
hands can be cleaned using cleaning
detergents specially designed for
cleaning household appliances.
• If you do not use, clean, or malfunction
your device always unplug the device.
• Do not disassemble the electrical
device. The device operates at
hazardous voltages. For this reason,
always switch off the device and
disconnect it from the mains when
performing user maintenance. In the
