Switching on the machine
Switch on the main switch.
Check that the emergency-stop button is not pressed or is unlocked. Turn the emergency-
stop button to the right in order to release the push button.
Select turning direction.
Switch on spindle rotation.

Switching the machine off
Set the rotation direction switch to the neutral central position.
If the lathe has been shut off for a longer period of time, switch it off using the main switch
and secure it against being unintentionally switched on again or pull the power plug.

CAUTION!
Only press the emergency-stop button in a genuine emergency. You may not use the
emergency stop button to stop the machine during normal operation.

Resetting an emergency stop condition
Unlock the emergency stop button again.
Set the rotation direction switch to the neutral central position.
Select turning direction.
Switch on spindle rotation.

Set the rotation direction switch to the neutral central position.
Select turning direction.
Switch on spindle rotation.

Speed setting
The speed is infinitely variable within the respective speed range. The speed is set with the
rotary control in the control panel of the lathe.
The protective cover (2) must be removed to
change the speed range.
Switch off the main switch or pull the
mains plug.
Unscrew the two fastening screws.
Remove the
protective cover.
