NOTE
In Windows 2000 and XP operating systems, you must have system
administration (Administrator) privileges to install the software
NOTE
A printer has to be installed and set as default before running the
Scout.exe software.
6.4.2 DOWNLOAD THE SCOUT SOFTWARE FROM THE WEB
Go to the Web site http://www.optikon.com/scoutmain.htm
The procedure is different depending on if you are registered or not.
IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED
•
Click on the
Keratron Scout update page
hyperlink in the “
?”
menu.
•
Select
New User Registration
.
•
Follow the operations that appear on the screen.
•
You will be enabled to download within 24 hours, receiving a confirmation e-
mail from Optikon 2000 S.p.A.
IF YOU ARE ALREADY REGISTERED
•
Click on the
Keratron Scout update page
hyperlink in the “
?”
menu.
•
Enter your user name and password.
•
Create an empty folder on your Hard-Disk (e.g. “C:\ScoutSW”)
•
Right-click on the hyperlink Setup.exe, choose
Save As
when prompted and
save it in the folder you have created.
