The Opticron Golf 600 is a simple to use, precision-made optical laser range-finding device for use primarily
as an aid for judging shot distance when playing golf. It can also be used as a range-finder for activities such as
wildlife management, site surveying and walking. To ensure that you get the best from this product, please read
the following guide carefully.

Introduction

The Opticron Golf 600 is a range measurement device which uses a 6x magnification monocular to enable the user
to accurately pin-point targets at a distance of up to 600 metres. When not being used for range measurement, the
device can be used simply to observe distant objects. Unlike some laser range-finding devices, the Golf 600 can be
set to measure distance in either metric or imperial units.

When used in range-finding mode, the Golf 600 finds and measures the distance to a target very quickly. It uses
an internal liquid crystal display (LCD) to show the user where to aim the laser and the distance measured. This
measurement is then retained for reference.

When used in advanced slope mode the Golf 600 measures the elevation angle, linear distance, horizontal
distance and height/depth of the target on the LCD display. This enables the user to determine appropriate club and
shot selection more accurately than simply using linear distance.
