ezDDNS
ezDDNS allows you to fill the Host Name field, and complete the configuration of DDNS settings.
To enable and configure DDNS on your recorder:
1. Select
Enable DDNS
and press
ENTER
.
2. Press the
DOWN
arrow to change the selection to
On
and press
ENTER
.
3. Select
ezDDNS
and press
ENTER
.
4. Press the
DOWN
arrow to change the selection to
Yes
and press
ENTER
.
Note
A network connection with a connection to the internet is needed for the DDNS update to
connect and complete.
5. The recorder will automatically pull a Host Name, and submit an update to the DDNS server.
6. The DDNS address will also be displayed (you should make a note of this address for future use).
Note
Port forwarding also needs to be configured on the router to allow remote access to the
recorder from an offsite location. For further instruction on this process, visit
http://openeye.net
and search for “Port Forwarding.”
