CONTROL PANEL COMPONENTS
NOTE: Controls and instruments on the genset vary according to
customer requirement.
Standard Features
•
Start-Stop Switch:
Starts and stops the genset lo-
cally.
•
Battery Charge Rate DC Ammeter:
Monitors the
battery charging current.
•
Exciter Field Circuit Breaker:
Protects the exciter
and the alternator if the voltage regulator malfunc-
tions.
•
Preheat Switch:
Activates the manifold heater and
glow plugs for cold engine starting.
•
Oil Pressure Gauge:
Monitors engine lubricating
oil pressure.
•
Fuse:
Protects DC circuit against reversed battery
terminals.

AC Voltmeter:
Monitors output voltage.
•
Voltmeter Phase Selector Switch:
Selects the
output voltage phase to be measured.
•
Voltage Adjust Rheostat:
Adjusts output voltage
±
5%.
•
Running Time Meter:
Registers the total genset
running time: used to time service intervals.
•
Frequency Meter:
Indicates the frequency (hz) of
the output voltage. This meter can be used to deter-
mine engine speed (one hz equals 30 rpm).
•
Warning Lights:
Red warning lights indicate the
following conditions:
1. Overspeed
2. Low oil pressure
3. High engine temperature
•
Reset Pushbutton:
Permits restarting after a fault
condition is corrected.
•
Line Circuit Breakers:
Protects the generator from
line overloads.
