Preparation
1.
Turn the video system center and light source OFF.
2.
Prepare detergent solution at the temperature and concentration
recommended by the detergent manufacturer in a 500 cm
3
(500 ml)
container.

Prepare de-ionized water (Aq. Dest.) in a 500 cm
3
(500 ml) container.
Gently wipe off the insertion tube
Handle the insertion tube carefully. Tightly gripping or sharply
bending the insertion tube or bending section can stretch or
severely damage the insertion tube and the covering of the
bending section.
Gently wipe off debris on the insertion tube with a clean, lint-free cloth soaked in
detergent solution. Wipe from the boot toward the distal end.
Disconnect the endoscope
Do not touch the light guide of the light guide connector
immediately after removing it from the light source because it
is extremely hot. Operator and/or patient injury may result.

Turn the video system center and light source OFF.
2.
Disconnect the video connector from the video system center by pushing
down the locking lever on the video system center (see Figure 7.5).

Disconnect the light guide connector from the light source while holding the
video connector.
