Perform the white balance adjustment (see page 52).

Perform the NBI observation.

Return to the normal observation using the mode button on the light source,
referring to the instruction manual of the light source.

Confirm that the NBI indicator on the front panel of the video system center
lights up green, and that “NBI” disappears on the monitor.
• If the “NBI” mode is selected when a non NBI compatible light
source and/or endoscope is used, the NBI indicator does not
change to green, and a warning message appears on the
monitor.
• Enter and button operations cannot be operated for several
seconds while the light source turns into NBI mode.
• Contrast (“Shift” + “F6”) and color mode (“Shift” + “Alt” + “1”,
“2”, “3”, “4”) cannot be operated during the NBI observation.
• The NBI mode selection operation can also be controlled
from the scope switches and/or foot switches. For how to set
up the scope switches and foot switches, see “Remote switch
and foot switch (EXERA and VISERA)” on page 219.
• The color tones of NBI observation slightly vary with
products.
