Intended Use

The RTX smoke detector serves for the detection of smoke indoors and to issue a loud acoustic
signal if it is detected.
If triggered, the smoke detector sends a radio signal which can be received by alarm system in the
Protect series or other smoke alarms.

The alarm system and/or other smoke alarms then raise the

actual alarm.
A condition for complying with the intended use is that the equipment is installed correctly and the
information in the manual is observed and maintained.
Any other use is considered unintended use. Unauthorised modifications or reconstructions not de
scribed in the manual are not permitted and could cause the product to be damaged.
