5.3 Sealing
After the scale has been verified, it must be sealed to prevent undetected access to the legally controlled
settings. Refer to the illustrations below for sealing methods.

For the sealing of the scale base, when the i-DT33P or i-DT33XW indicator is connected to an OHAUS
Defender 3000 series base boasting EasyConnect
TM
function, it has a memory module on the load cell cable.
The connection cable is sealed with software pairing, so no hardware sealing of the cable is needed. Once the
indicator or the base is replaced by a new one, an error message (
Error 8.9
) will be shown on the indicator's
display.
