The vacuum tubes should not be installed under direct sunlight but for instance later in
the day or under less sunny weather conditions. If that is not possible please cover the
tubes, otherwise they will become very hot and could cause injuries.
Expansion tank
IMPORTANT: The pressure of the expansion tank must be set 0.2 bar less than the
system pressure before the system can be filled. If this is not tested, the pressure
might not be indicated correctly when commissioning the system.
The pressure is tested at the valve of the expansion tank and must be refilled with
nitrogen, if the initial pressure is too high bleeding of this valve is required.
Filling the system circuit
Please use an electric pump for flushing and filling the system with OEG solar liquid SFS.
1. Open the filling and outlet valve to let the solar liquid flow around the circuit
2. Turn the temperature wheel for hot and cold by 45° in CW direction
3. Close the shut-off valve above the flow meter to ensure that the entire liquid and air
are flowing through the system and all impurities are filtered out
4. Start the filling pump and pump the OEG solar liquid SFS for approx. 20 min.
5. Periodically open and close the shut-off valve to force air bubbles trapped behind the
inspection glass back into the circuit
6. Close the shut-off valve
7. As soon as the solar circuit is fully vented, close the lower inlet/outlet. The pressure in
the solar circuit will now build up.
8. Fully open the shut-off valve above the flow meter.
9. Fill the solar circuit until the pressure reaches the required value. Switch off the pump
and immediately close the filling valve. Check all pipe connections of the solar system
for tightness. Check the pressure after approx. 30 min.
IMPORTANT: Only check the pressure of already filled systems. Pressure tests of
air-filled systems do not deliver correct results.

10. If the installation is running properly increase the pres-
sure by opening the return valve until it reaches the
required system pressure.
11. Reset the temperature to its original value.
12. Disconnect the filling pump.
13. Close inlet and outlet connections with the
brass covers included in the
delivery package.
