OBH Nordica Waffel iron
Before use
Read the instructions carefully before use and save it.
Unwind the cord completely. Clean the plates with a damp cloth and grease them with a little
cooking fat before you use the iron for the first time. Do not eat the 2-3 first waffles that you
fry in you new waffle iron.
Use
Unwind the cord and plug in the appliance, the pilot light will show while the waffle iron is
preheating. When the optimum temperature is reached the pilot light will go out. The appliance
is ready for use.
Fry
Pour the batter in the middle of the lower plate and close the lid, press a few seconds so that
the batter is spread evenly. Do not press during the whole process though this will prevent the
waffle from rise. The pilot light will turn on and off during use, this does not affect the result.
Frying time
The frying time may vary between 1-3 minutes depending on the batter and how well fried
you want the waffle. When you think you waffle is ready, open the lid and remove the waffle
with a plastic or wooden utensil (metal can damage the coating). Place the waffle on a grid
to keep the crispiness.
Cleaning
Always remove the plug from the outlet after use and before cleaning. Never clean the
appliance when plugged in. Let the iron cool. Never immerse the appliance in water or any
other liquid.
Use a damp cloth and mild detergent for cleaning of the rounds. Never use sharp objects to
clean the rounds since the coating can be damaged. Dry the cover with a damp cloth.
