Before Use
Before the appliance is used for the first time, read through the instruction manual
carefully and save it for future use.
Use
Make sure your hair is completely dry and comb it through. If you have very thick hair
you can use hair clips to separate the hair to make the styling easier.
Disengage the lock of the plates by pushing the locking button towards the cord. Plug
the appliance to an outlet. Switch on the appliance by pressing the switch and the signal
lamp of 200˚C will go on. From the factory the appliance is set at 200˚C, but it is easy to
change the temperature by means of the + and – buttons at the side of the straightener
at any temperature (150-230˚C). Choose the suitable temperature depending on your
type of hair and see the recommended temperatures below.
When you use the appliance for the first time, we recommend that you start at the
lowest temperature.
150-170˚C – fine, fragile coloured hair
185-200˚C – normal hair
215-
230˚C – very coarse hair
Put the appliance on a heat-resistant support during heating.
Ionic function
The ionic function reduces static charge of your hair. The ionic function is automatically
activated when you switch on the appliance and is deactivated when the appliance is
switched off.
Hold the appliance at a safe distance from your skin and eyes. Use a mirror. Put a
portion of hair between the plates and close the appliance. Be careful that your fingers
do not touch the warm plates. Now pull the appliance down towards the end in an even
movement. To get the best result, start at the bottom part of the hair and work your
way towards.
Note!
This straightener reaches very high temperatures. Keep the heated parts away
from scalp, face, neck and hands. Never use the appliance on wigs, extensions and
artificial hair without testing on a thin hair section first, otherwise the hair may melt.
Auto shut off
This appliance has a safety function that makes it shut off automatically after about
70 minutes. This auto shut off function is meant as an extra safety precaution, so
remember to shut off the appliance by pressing the power switch and unplug the
appliance after use.
