5.3 Loca on Recommenda ons
Installa on and service must be performed by a quali
fi
ed installer.
Oasis recommend the heat pump should be installed in an outdoor loca on with appropriate ven a on. Installing
the heater indoors without adequate ven
on, or in a poorly ven ted enclosed space, will result in very poor
performance and can, in extreme cases, damage the heater. Ensure the heater is installed in a well-ven ated area
with plenty of fresh air.
Oasis recommend the heat pump should ONLY be installed in a loca on with appropriate ven a on.
The Oasis pool heat pump should be installed with a minimum clearance of at least 3.5m to the water’s edge.
Furthermore, Oasis recommend installing the heat pump no greater than 7.5 meters away from the water’s edge
due to heat loss from the piping.
The heat pump should be installed a maximum of 5m below the water level of the pool/spa.
Make sure the heat pump is not located where large amounts of water may run-o
ff
from a roof into the unit. Sharp
sloping roofs without gu ers will allow excessive amounts of rain water mixed with debris from the roof to be forced
through the unit. A water de
fl
ector may be needed to protect the heat pump.
If installing the heater on an exis ng pump/
fi
ltra on system the heater must be installed AFTER the
fi
lter and
BEFORE the chlorinator/sani zer.
The heat pump should be installed on a
fl
at level surface.
In the event that a suitable outdoor loca on is unavailable please contact Oasis or Sunlover for specialist
technical advice.
5.4 Air
fl
ow Clearances
The heat pump unit needs con nuous fresh air whilst running. The heater draws up to 80m3/min ambient air
through the sides and discharges through the top fan cowl.
Installing the heater indoors or in an enclosed space will result in very poor performance and can in extreme cases
damage the heater. Ensure the heater is installed in a well-ven
ted area with plenty of fresh air, a minimum gap
between walls/fences etc of 600mm on the sides and 1500mm overhead clearance.

ow into and out of the heater. Do not locate the heater in an enclosed
area, or the discharged cold air will recirculate into the unit and consequently lower the hea ng e
ffi
ciency as well as
possible icing up.
