When operated with the NXP GUI the Fm+ Development Board (OM13260) requires a different
firmware to that used for the “Trade Show” Mode (described in section 4.1). Repeat the steps given in
section 4.7 to install the GUI Firmware on to the Fm+ Development Board (OM13260) MCU.
4.7.1 “Trade Show” Mode
A popular use of the Fm+ Development Board (OM13260) kit is for publicity and promotion of the I2C
Bus products from NXP. A version of the firmware provides “Blinky Lights” on the Fm+ Development
Board (OM13260) PCB, and the optional attached GPIO Target Boards OM13303.
Note
:
This mode does not require a computer connection.
The NXP GUI will not work while the
firmware on the Fm+ Development Board (OM13260) is set to “Trade Show” mode.
Note:
To restore operation with the NXP GUI
running on a computer attached by USB cable, the
firmware on the Fm+ Development Board (OM13260) must be reset from “Trade Show” mode by
installing the correct firmware. (See section 4.8).
Once this is installed the Fm+ Development Board (OM13260)
will no longer work with the NXP GUI
(running on an attached PC). Each time the Fm+ Development Board (OM13260) is powered up the
demo program will run. No USB connection or computer is required, except for an external DC power
supply.
4.7.2 NXP GUI Mode
When the Fm+ Development Board (OM13260) is used with the NXP GUI the correct firmware must be
installed on the MCU. (See section 4.8).
Note:
This mode does require a computer connection.
The NXP GUI will only work when the
