Side exhaust
The hood has been equipped with side exhaust.
This means that the extraction is concentrated
on the side of the hood. This creates a higher air
speed on the sides, which leads to more efficient
extraction.
Maintenance
Maintenance of the grease filter
The hood contains one or 2 metal filters (according
to the model) which should be cleaned twice a
month.
Grease filter indication
After 30 cooking hours, the vertical line in the
middel will start to blink during 30 seconds, this
indicaties that the grease filter has to be cleaned.
When replacing the cleaned filter, you have to
reset the hood by pushing the timer button during
5 seconds.
Access to the filter
Take hold of the right and left side of the plate (a)
an pull down simultaneously. Remove the filter (b)
by pushing simultaniously on the 2 fastners.
Cleaning the filter:
• in the dishwasher
• manually: in a hot solution of water and a
liquid detergent. Rince and allow to dry com-
pletely
Important! The previous instructions need to
be followed. If not an increased fire hazard may
occur.
Maintenance of the hood
Please allow the lights to cool down sufficiently
before cleaning the hood. Use a soft, wet cloth
and a mild detergent to clean the hood. Never
use aggressive, abrasive detergents or sponges.
Bleach will damage stainless steel. The stainless
steel surfaces can be treated with
Novy Inoxcleaner (906.060) after cleaning.
Replacement of the lamps
First remove the plug from the socket or turn
off the electricity. Wait until the lamp has cooled
down before replacing it. The cooker hood has
four halogen spots from each 20 Watt. The
halogen spots can be replaced by putting a little
screwdriver in the interstice of the rim around the
spot. Now press the rim (A) carefully downwards
with the point of the screwdriver. The little glass
(B) comes out of the spot.
The halogen can now be removed out of the
spot. Be careful that the lamp doesn’t fall down
immediately, so it’s advisable to put something
on your hob in order to protect it. Don’t touch
the new halogen with your hands, this reduces
the light output. Replace the defective lamp by
a new one from the same type and same power
(20 Watt). Then reassemble the glass and the rim
back into the spot.
Electrical connection
The hood has a cable with earthed plug and must
be connected to an earthed wall socket.
Amperage and absorption are shown on the
specification label on the inside of the hood.
The plug must be easily accessible. Replacement
of the connection cable is to be done by a qualified
installer.
