3G Modem

The 3G Modem section allows you to set MiFi to automatically connect whenever it is turned
on, enable the Event Log, and set MiFi to automatically open to the login page if the Internet
connection is unavailable.

Auto-connect enable

Auto-connect allows MiFi to connect to your provider’s network automatically whenever it is turned
on.

There are three available options for auto-connect:

•

Never — You must always manually connect to the network.

•

Home Network — The MiFi will only auto-connect to the home network when it is powered
on.

•

Home and Roaming Network — The MiFi will connect to any available network when it is
powered up.

IMPORTANT

Additional charges may apply for international roaming. Please consult your

network operator.

Select the auto-connect mode you want to use and click

Apply

Event Log enable

Turns on or off the Event Log that can be viewed from the Internet Diagnostics page.

Select or deselect the checkbox to enable or disable the Event Log and click

Apply

Network Technology

The Network Technology setting determines how MiFi accesses the network. There are three
options:

•

Automatic — It scans for 3G signals and looks for GPRS/EDGE signals if it cannot locate 3G.

•

GPRS/EDGE Only — It only looks for GPRS/EDGE signals.

•

3G Only — It only looks for 3G signals.
