Click on
Start
on the task bar.

Select
System control
.

Open the
Network
icon in the system control window.

Previously installed components will be registered under “Configuration”.

The
Electronic Data Transfer Adapter
and
TCP/IP
should appear here. If this is
not the case, please click on the “Add” button and then on “Network Board” and
“Add”.

Now select the network card “Electronic Data Transfer Adapter” and confirm this
with O.K.

If your PC operates without a network, you can remove all components except for
the electronic data transfer adaptor. If in doubt, leave all components activated.

Next, make your selection under “Network Component Type” and using
Add
insert
Microsoft
as the supplier and
TCP/IP
for the network protocol. Confirm with O.K.

For this procedure you need your Windows 2000/XP/NT installation CD.
Transmission of Configuration Data
Preparation of Configuration Data
Before transmitting the configuration to the NMG, the data must be processed. First, click on
the menu
Configuration data
. Then select
Process
. The current configuration is now being
processed. This procedure can take a couple of minutes.
NovaTec Network Services (Network Services)
To enable the configuration data to be transmitted to the NovaTec
Mobile Gateway S20, you
must start
the Network Services
first. To do this, select
Network Services
in your installation
folder.
Transmission of the Configuration Data
After the configuration data has been successfully processed, it can be transmitted to the NovaTec
Mobile Gateway S20. To do this go to
Configuration data
and select the item
Transfer to
Target System
. Then go to the
Transfer Options
window and select the button
Transfer
New Configuration to Target System
and
Reboot Target system if reconfiguration is
not possible.
