WAU front panel Assigment
The WAU contains the mobile engines and the SIM card readers. The front panel contains:
- One RF output to be connected to the ACU or to an appropriate antenna.
- One strain relief lug for the antenna cable.
- WAU can be mounted with up to two mobile engine daughter cards with two engines each.
The mobile engine daughter cards contain the SIM card reader and 4 LEDs for each mobi-
le engine. The SIM card reader of each daughter card can be inserted by SIM cards of
different providers (multiple provider mode) at the same time or can be left without SIM
card. Standard or prepaid SIM cards can be handled by the system at the same time.
Mounting/dismounting of the SIM cards:
1- push the release button (see picture 15) with a hard sharp pointed object to release the
drawer. Remove the drawer completely.
2- Insert the SIM card into the drawer in the correct position (please note that the marked
corners of the SIM card and the drawer should be in the same position).
3- Push the drawer with the SIM card into the appropriate slot, with the contacts of the
SIM card pointing to the LEDs.
4- For all other channels please go through the same procedure.
5- Then configure the SIM card into the system with the configuration software.
