
STORAGE
Unplug unit and allow to cool. Store in its box or in a clean, dry place. Never store the Waffle
Maker while it is hot or still plugged in. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Do not
put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as this could cause the cord to fray and break.
The Waffle Maker’s Folding Handle can be collapsed by pressing down on the button and folding
down.
PRINCESS SUGGESTIONS
- Place the appliance on a stable and sturdy surface that is heat-resistant.
- Never submerge the appliance in water or any other fluid.
- The outside of the appliance becomes hot. Only hold the appliance by the handgrip.
- Make sure that the appliance is not placed so close to the edge of the table, counter, etc. that it
can be knocked off; also make sure that the cord does not hang in such a way that someone
can stumble over it or get caught up in it.
- Never use the appliance if it is damaged or if the cord is damaged, but instead send it to our
service department. With this type of appliance, a damaged cord can only be replaced by our
service department, using special tools.
- Do not place the appliance on or in the immediate vicinity of a hotplate or the like.
- Always pull the plug out of the electrical socket before cleaning and in the event of electrical
failure.
- The waffle iron becomes very hot, so make sure it remains out of the reach of children, and be
careful yourself.
- Do not use scouring or abrasive cleansers.
- Only use the appliance in accordance with the instructions.
- Do not use any accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
- The cord must not touch the hot waffle iron.
RECIPE (MAKES ABOUT 15 WAFFLES)
Ingredients:
250 grams butter
250 grams self-raising flour
250 grams sugar
4 eggs
Melt the butter slowly, then add the sugar and the yolks of the 4 eggs. Stir into a creamy
mixture. Gradually add the sifted flour and mix until thick. Beat the 4 egg whites until they form
stiff peaks and add to the mixture. The batter is now ready for
cooking.
U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE = NEUTRAL, BROWN = LIVE, GREEN-YELLOW = EARTH
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour
markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the let-
ter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN-YELLOW must be connected to the earth terminal which is
marked with the letter E or coloured green and yellow.
With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used a 13 amp fuse should be fitted. If any other type of
plug is used a 15 amp fuse must be fitted either in the plug or at the distribution board.
