7.2 Material compatibilities

To clean the device we recommend a mild soap solution as permitted in your country or a
50% solution of water and 1-propanol solution.

Use one of the following disinfectant agents to clean the device:

Ecolab Incidin Foam 1 to 2 min

You can also assess what other cleaning agents and disinfectants are suitable on the basis
of the following material compatibilities.
The device surface finishes are resistant to:
O
Weak acids (e.g. Boric acid ≤ 10%, acetic acid ≤ 10%, citric acid ≤ 10%)
O
Aliphatic hydrocarbons (e.g. Pentane, Hexane)
O
Ethanol
O
Most inorganic salts and their water based solutions (e.g. sodium chloride, calcium chlo-
ride, magnesium sulphate)
The device surface finishes are not resistant to:
O
Strong acids (e.g. hydrochloric acid ≥ 20%, sulphuric acid ≥ 50%, nitric acid ≥ 15%)
O
Oxidising acids (e.g. peracetic acid)
O
Alkalis (e.g. caustic soda, ammonia and all substances with a pH value > 7)
O
Aromatic/halogenated hydrocarbons (e.g. Phenol, Chloroform)
O
Acetone and Benzine
7.3 Disinfecting surfaces
Before and after each use:

Disinfect the connection cables, the handpiece and the handpiece rest as described in 5.5
" Cleaning and disinfecting the equipment “ on page 20 chapter.
7.4 Cleaning surfaces
For contaminants on the outside:

Wipe the device and its accessories with a soft cloth, moistened with cleaning solution or
disinfectant.
