If necessary, use
Ctrl-Escape
on your Siemens MRI scanner host computer to open the
Windows Start Menu again and verify the FIRMM start and stop scripts are now displayed on
the start menu
.
The FIRMM Tablet Computer is now set up to communicate with the Siemens MRI.

Using the Windows Shortcuts for Image Transfer

This section applies to both always-send mode and one-patient mode.
Note:
For always-send mode -
In routine usage the operator will not use the start and stop
shortcuts and will rely on the normal operation, in which the scanner automatically sends all
its data to FIRMM. These controls are provided in the event some unexpected circumstance
arises and the operator wants to force FIRMM to start manually. Once the operator uses the
manual mode, they must continue to operate FIRMM manually until the Siemens MRI scanner
is rebooted and automatic mode is reactivated.
Note:
For One-patient mode
–These shortcuts will be used for each new patient registration.
1.
Press
Ctrl-Escape
on the Siemens MRI Host Computer keyboard to bring up the
Windows Start Menu.
2.
From the Start Menu,
right-click
on the “
FIRMM start one patient
” icon (or
“
FIRMM start always-send
” if always-send is enabled) and select “
Open
”.
