Enable
always-send mode
of image transfer using the “
FIRMM_activate_always-send
”
utility to enable the automatic Siemens transfer.

Enable
manual mode
of image transfer for each patient registration by adding shortcuts
“
FIRMM start one patient
” and “
FIRMM stop one patient
” in the Windows shortcut menu.
6.
Use the Windows Start Menu shortcuts to manually start and stop the transfers.
Before completing the steps described below:
•
Find the USB Key labeled “S-#.#.#” that was included with your system.
•
Make sure the Siemens Local Service password is available.
•
Login to the Siemens host computer as an advanced user.
9.1
Switch McAfee Embedded Control Software to Update Mode
For Siemens MRI systems starting with software versions VE11C, VB19A, and VB20P the
Siemens host uses McAfee Embedded Control (Solidifier) security software. It is necessary to
switch this Embedded Control software into UPDATE mode before installing the FIRMM
Scanner Scripts and to return it to normal operation when you are finished copying the
FIRMM Scanner Scripts to the MRI Host Computer.
Steps:
A.
Login to Local Service Mode
B.
Select Utilities from the menu
C.
Select “Escape to OS” from the Utilities interface
D.
In the command menu select the NT Command Interpreter and Enter
MREmbeddedControlGUI
Step A
: Login to Local Service Mode
Under the Syngo pulldown menu for Options select Service - Local Service. Enter your local
service password when prompted.
