5.3.2 How to install new firmware
When new firmware for the T6-RV becomes available it can be installed from the web server. A service bulletin
will be issued by Northrop Grumman to indicate when new firmware is released. To check the existing firmware:

On the web server, navigate to
and then

Check that the part number of the firmware in the service bulletin is different from the part number of
the firmware listed under Operating Firmware Details.
If the parts numbers are the same, the firmware is up to date. If the part numbers are different:

to see any files already uploaded to the radio.
Area 1 and Area 2 are download areas within the radio. If a file has been previously uploaded to either of these
areas, the details will be shown.
(4)
Check that the part number of the firmware in the service bulletin is different from the part number
(payload_pcin) of the firmware in either Area 1 or Area 2.
If the new firmware has been uploaded to either Area it will need to be installed, see

receive the new firmware:

Northrop Grumman will provide a file containing the firmware, download this to a computer.
To upload the firmware to a radio:

On the web server, navigate to

next to the Area where the firmware is to be uploaded.

Navigate to and select the firmware file.
