Cyber security recommendations
(1)
Change the default password on your equipment - the T6 web server is provided with a default password
as described in this documentation, this should be changed on all equipment immediately after
installation.
(2)
Change your passwords on a regular basis - the T6 web server requires a password to be accessed, these
passwords should be changed regularly.
(3)
Backup the configuration of each piece of equipment on a regular basis - this will ensure that if a piece
of equipment is attacked it can be restored quickly and easily.
(4)
Test backups to make sure they work and you have the data and configurations you need - restore your
data and/or configuration to another piece of equipment to check that the backups you are taking will
work when you need them most.
(5)
Secure equipment physically - this prevents access to equipment for unauthorised personnel and should
include secure rooms and locking USB and Ethernet ports.
(6)
Keep backup media secure - this should include both physical security, such as fire-proof storage in an
off site location, and cyber security, such as password protection that follows the advice previously
given.
(7)
Document network set up - keep an up to date record of your network set up to help restore it quickly
in the event of an attack.
(8)
Set locks on the radio - the front panel, IP ports and E1 port on the Park Air T6 radio can be locked from
the web server.
